April 18 Peak Oil Discussion GroupI was just over at Peak Oil Discussion Thread. Peak Oil is about life after the oil crash These people believe that we are running out of oil faster than it can be refined. I started watching this discussion in January. It certainly seems like we are headed in that direction. The website is about getting prepared. I figure I might be able to help some of the folks out and make a little money myself in the process. The newest idea I got directly from their discussion threads about investing in silver. It won't necessarily be safe to have silver or gold openly as there will be many people not prepared and desperate. I want to get a bunch of old dimes that have already been damaged. I can make them into buttons for clothing. My belt buckle is 72 grams of solid silver. No one would ever guess a belt buckle would be a precious metal. The buttons would make clothing during peak oil a dual purpose...and valuable. Wonder where I might find old damaged dimes that are too beat up for coin collectors? April 17 Craig's ListI joined Craig's List yesterday and posted a want it ad for a wagon. Today I balanced that out with offering to make custom made makers marks for potters. Out of all the jewelry I have ever made for myself my logo ring has been the most useful. March 29 New Blog I am going to blog through google as no one has ended up here yet. I will continue to post photos that I don't want to lose and that I forsee I might want to use at a later date. March 28 Brigids Cross I posted a link to my website Divine Designs on Peak Oil. Folks there are interested in buying silver for trade after Peak Oil. It occurs to me those will be dangerous times and that valuables such as silver and gold will have to be concealed as folks will be desperate.
